Another trend we’re exploring this Spring is how to rock sorbet pastel shoes in large sizes. The sorbet trend’s been around since last Spring but seems to be hitting the stores in a big way in 2013.
It’s one of those trends that you either instantly love or run a mile from, especially if you’ve ever had the dubious honor of being decked out in pastel shades as a bridesmaid. Therein lies the problem. As sweet as the desserts after which they are named, the colors can get a little too sickly if over done or just look too juvenile.
However when styled right like style icon Solange Knowles, there is a fresh, pretty femininity about the subtle tones that is as traffic stopping as a punch from any primary color. Pastel sorbet tones also offer a softer alternative for the neon trend. It looks great on the catwalks and on celebs but rocking the trend in the real world might require a little more thought especially for women with big feet.
