There are plenty of fresh boot styles to choose from this fall 2015, so no matter what kind of boot you are looking for you should be able to find it. Want throw them-on-with-anything staples? Go for flexible flats in bootie or biker styles. Want sexy lady booties for your sexy lady self? They are out there too, just look out for stiletto booties with an 80s vibe.
For the low-down on the latest styles and how to style them, check out our fall 2015 Big Boots Report. This is a round-up of the trends we picked out in that report, but in affordable versions that are available in size 12.
Our favorite affordable womens boots in size 12:
These achingly fashionable beauties are from JCPenneys. I know, right? With their block heel and narrowed ankle, they tick all the boxes of the 70s trend so popular on this year’s runways, and all at $69.99 from jcpenneys.com. The oxblood shade pictured is the ‘it’ color right now, but they also come in tan and black if you are looking for something more versatile.
Baroque and roll
Sporting an almond toe – rather than the square or pointy toe typical of the baroque trend – these block heeled ankle booties are much more flattering in a larger size. In two materials, the glossy patent at the back of the shoe adds a little polish to these very wearable boots. For just $69.95 from DSW.com, they are a steal.
Over the knee
At $340 these soft suede over the knee boots from longtallsally.com are not cheap. There are cheaper flat or heeled over the knee boots out there available in size 12 (check out zappos.com), but these make me weak at the knees – which they just happen to cover beautifully, so it all, sort of, works out?
These Naturalizer two-tone zip up ankle booties have clean lines and a very ‘right now’ flash of leopard pony. With a two inch heel they give a slight but still flattering lift, and at $169 from Nordstrom.com they don’t break the back.
To really rock the 80s-style bootie trend, go for these gorgeous booties from BCBGeneration for $139 from Nordstrom.com. I mean, they are so 80s they look like they have shoulder pads! They would look great for work or play, and can be worn with skirts and dresses for an on trend combo, or with skinny jeans for a hip swaying casual look.
If you want affordable boots that will make all the other boots run away and cry, then look no further. These lug soled tough guys are just $59.95 at Payless.com
